How you will make an impact


As our Finance Associate (Part-Time for 20-25 Hours/Week), you will be part of the Finance team and report directly to the VP of Finance & Legal. You will take responsibility for accounts receivables and support us in the careful management of financial records. You are expected to assist in optimizing financial processes and contribute to initiatives for improving outstanding receivables to improve the company's financial situation. Our finance team is responsible for the company's financial and legal matters.


Your tasks and responsibilities:

Accounts Receivables

  • Responsibility for accounts receivables and point of contact for customers and internal departments

  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing

  • Set-up subscriptions in our billing software

  • Ongoing monitoring of outstanding receivables and dunning processes. Communicating with customers about outstanding invoices, sending payment reminders and dunning letters, and actively working to maintain liquidity by reducing payment delays/defaults.

  • Liaise with other cross-functional teams, e.g. Customer Success and Sales, to solve customer requests regarding invoices and payments

  • Participation in the continuous optimization of internal accounting processes


Accounts Payables

  • Formal and computational review as well as processing of incoming invoices and credit notes in compliance with legal regulations

  • Processing invoices through an electronic workflow system

  • Gather and verify invoices and receipts for employees' credit card purchases, ensure proper documentation and coding

  • Acting as an interface in payment transactions, maintaining direct contact with our customers and service providers

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes

Job requirements

What we expect from you:


  • Completed vocational training with a focus on Finance and Accounting or similar
  • You are organized, and you have an independent and reliable way of working
  • Detail-oriented
  • You have a proactive attitude and are a strong team player who can collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with the tasks described above
  • Good command of Google Workspace Tools or Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of other finance and data tools is a plus
  • Ideally, but not mandatory: prior experience in a similar position within a start-up or growing organization
  • You speak English and German fluently
  • Openness to new (digital) solutions
